Baked potato is one of the most favorite snacks of all times. Beside it is delicious; this way of cooking snack is healthier than another ways. Baked potato contains lower cholesterol for our body. In case we want to have a delicious snack and healthy snack in the same time, this snack can be the solution. Here we will share more about the benefits of it and some tips to make it even more delicious and healthier.
Some researchers say that eating potato twice a week will not increase your body weight. Eating potato can also increase your blood pressure. It is depended on how you cook it. This is why we should pay attention at the way we cook it. Some ingredients can cause some negative effect for our body. If you want to have a healthy potato as snack, make sure that do not fry it and do not add any cheese cream.
Some people may think that potato is not good for people in diet program because it contains flour. It is not good for people that do some carbohydrate diets. Potato contains much nutrition that is good for our body. These nutrition including vitamin B6. This vitamin B6 will help break the carbohydrate and protein become glucose and amino. This amino is needed for our body in creating energy. This will be the fuel in creating energy. It will make you feel fresh and fit. This is also good for people in a diet program or people that need to do some work out because it will pump your energy.
In one big potato contains 164 calories, 37 grams of carbohydrate, 4,3 grams of protein, 0,2 grams of fat, 4,7 grams of fibers, and it does not contain cholesterol at all. Beside that, potato also contains calcium that can supply 2% of our calcium needed in a day. It also contains 51% of vitamin C, 9% of zinc, 3-% of vitamin B6, 12% of magnesium, and 25% of potassium. It also completed with phosphor, niacin, and choline.
Potato only contains 13 grams of salt, but some potato snacks in the market usually contains much salt that is not good for our body. So, it is better for us to cook baked potato by ourselves. Actually there are some tips for you to make it even more delicious.
Something that we sometimes do not know is that the best nutrition of potato is in the skin of it. So, you should try to cook it with the skin. First, make sure that you clean the skin of potato by using clean water. Then, wrap it with the tissue to put out the water on it. With the tissue, the dirty part of the potato will also be removed. After that, slice the potato with some certain size that you want. Make sure that you still keep the skin in the potato. You do not need to peel if off. Then, after that you can bake it with the oven. Baked potato is one of the healthier way than another way such as frying cooking. When you fry the potato, you will use some oil and it is not good for your health. This way of cooking potato is better and healthier.
