The short answer is, yes they are. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Apparently, this is true. Apple is rich with nutrition. The nutrition, in turn, helps your body maintain your health and prevents diseases. So it is not surprising if apple is being praised as a miracle food. Proof #1: they improve neurological health

One of the antioxidants found in apples, quercetin, was one of the two compounds that can help to reduce cellular death caused by inflammation of neurons and oxidation. Apples contain phenolic, a compound that prevents the cholesterol that gets into system from solidifying on the artery walls.
